    • 1 (16-ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meat Sauce:

    • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and stir the pork and beef until browned and crumbly (5-7 minutes).

    • Add onion and cook until translucent (about 5 minutes).

    • Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon parsley, garlic, basil, salt, oregano, and sugar.

    • Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Cook the Noodles:

    • While the sauce simmers, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

    • Cook the lasagna noodles until al dente (8-10 minutes), then drain and set aside.

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  3. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:

    • In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, Parmesan, eggs, remaining parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  4. Assemble the Lasagna:

    • Spread a small amount of sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

    • Layer with lasagna noodles, half of the cheese mixture, half of the remaining sauce, and half of the mozzarella.

    • Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella on top.

    • Cover with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes.

    • Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes, until cheese is golden brown.

  5. Cool & Serve:

    • Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
